How this radar works

Codex Reset Radar is designed as an explainable signal monitor, not an oracle. Every hour, its Cloudflare Worker requests recent posts written by the monitored account and reconstructs the surrounding conversation threads. Root posts, replies from the monitored account, and replies from other people stay labeled as different speaker roles. The collector does not discard a conversation simply because it lacks a predefined keyword. That broader context helps the analysis distinguish an actual statement from a user request, joke, complaint, or unsupported guess.

The language model evaluates a rolling 72-hour horizon. It returns one overall probability and three consecutive 24-hour windows, along with evidence on both sides, uncertainty notes, and a confidence score. Probability is the estimated chance of the event. Confidence describes how adequate and consistent the available evidence appears. Those numbers are related, but they are not interchangeable. Low confidence should make even a high-looking probability less actionable.

Time information has a stricter boundary. A source-stated time is accepted only when the monitored account states it directly or clearly confirms another person's proposed time. It can remain visible beyond the 72-hour forecast horizon, because a concrete future schedule should not disappear merely because it is several days away. A model estimate, by contrast, is limited to the next 72 hours, displayed as a window rather than a false exact promise, and omitted when the evidence is too weak.

The system does not call the model every hour when nothing meaningful changed. It creates a fingerprint from post text, edit history, deletion state, and active reset-time events. A fresh analysis is generated only when that fingerprint changes. If collection or inference fails, the interface keeps the last successful prediction and marks the data as degraded or stale instead of replacing it with fabricated fallback values.

Important limitations

The monitored account is a useful signal source, not an official OpenAI status channel. Reset decisions can happen without advance public discussion, public conversations can be ambiguous, and model interpretation can be wrong. Do not plan paid work, deadlines, or account purchases around this page alone. Verify actual allowance and reset behavior in the official product before making a consequential decision.

How often does the radar update?

The collector is scheduled hourly. DeepSeek runs only when the monitored post text, edit state, deletion state, or an active explicit-time event changes, preventing repeated calls from creating artificial probability movement.
